you can sell templates or custom design logos on that site, and get that money back in no time. By the time adobe fills a law suit against you, you would already have been in the green. I'd hand the domain over in the last minute, for the price that I bought it for to adobe, they would probably agree cause it saves them the court fees. And I would keep any money I made with the domain.

maybe some photo developing or picture company bought it, no matter who and what its cheap as chips.

Contact is just a matter of time....I am very surprised that they haven't gone after this.

Sure I suppose a fan, tutorial or template site could be made but this might be a tad to close and too applicable to Adobes needs. As to use for a non photoshop oriented photo site ( cameras, film accessories ect ) might be able to squeak it out..but it will come down to how much money do you have to defend it if Adobe decides they want it.

Sometimes you have to ask how much is it really worth to defend something like this....does the pay off out weigh the expense?

Well..one reason being your assuming that Adobe is going to play nicely.

Most large corporations don't play nice where their TM's are involved and
especially if there is no legitimate reason ( fan site, educational site, template
site ect...and these are not always considered legit ) the registrant owns the
domain...( registered in bad faith to capitalize from the TM ).

So it is a bit niave..or maybe ballsy to think you can squeeze money from
Adobe for a domain like PhotoShop.co.uk .. which is a TM known worldwide.

Not saying to not ever defend a name by any means ( referring to tm names )
..everything has its exceptions but you better have a legal fund set aside in
case it doesn't go your way. We have some great lawyers on the board that
will be more than happy to take your money

Adobe is known to aggressively defend their trademarks. I guess the buyer had 850 BP to waste; the seller was obviously smarter.
