I've been quietly buying numerics for years, simply based on the fact that N-N, NNN, NNNN anything is a matter of supply vs. demand.

Now the N-N-N.com market is heating up if not hot as a firecracker.

Only recently did I venture outside of this and purchased an N-N-N.org. It was a shot in the dark but it is already paying off in traffic and CTR.

It's a global market out there and there are far fewer numeric combinations than alpha combos. And it appears the demand is up but the supply is dwindling.

Nice read and I concur with the validity of investment potential.

Thanks for taking the time to post your valuable insights!
Rare and Universal come to mind when considering Numeric domains.

Awesome Post Sevent, have read a few times.
For the record N-N-N.com went a short time ago.
No doubt people will start on the N-N-N.info/net etc as all the N-N.info/net's have gone, guess it's logical
I never realised the point years ago to NNN.coms or realised the rarity
A big regret
They are truly beautiful domains
I have my eye on one

First time I have read this article, and 'WOW' what a read.

I can remember as a kid one of my maths teachers saying that numbers was the only 'universal language' in the world, it was only reading this article that made me remember his words (it was about 40 years ago and the old synapses are not what they used to be ).

I have just started taking an interest in the 'numbers' really only a couple of months ago, and yes the visitor numbers are quite astounding. Although I am heavily involved in other projects at the moment I have decided that it would be prudent to invest a portion of my time into investing in these.

Looking forward to Part 2 with baited breath.

This was a nice read. It's actually the first time that I arrive in this subforum just because I don't own any numeric domains. maybe it's time to own a couple of them. :)

Good read, a bit old but still deserves new attention due to NNNNN.com's ;)

I've recently started investing in large numbers of NNNNN.com's. There are not that many left, less than 20% of the total amount, which itself is only 100,000, much less than the 450,000+ LLLL.com's. And these domains get traffic, even completely random numbers get small numbers showing up regularly. I think these are the next net real estate to be sold out. In addition to zip codes (all US are taken but foreign postal codes in large cities are available), there are good number combinations with repeating numbers, sequences. There are also NNNNN.com's that spell words, that are parts numbers, that are lucky numbers in China, etc. Lots of possibilities.

I noticed that part I was published in '06...was there every a part II?? :?:

Very nice piece on Nnames! Should NNNNN.com be part of the Number Equation now, since the buy-out is complete or is this a trend where we will eventually see a lot of drops in a year. Thoughts?

Looking at recent prices I would say that 5N has a place in the market now...even random #s are selling well.
