Hi all, i'm a complete newbie to domaining but after looking at this forum for a while i decided to join, there's some great info here! After paying my newbie tax (handregged 6 probably useless domains) i have been reading a huge amount about domaining and building web/minisites, so i hope to have a measure of success as a domainer after i have learned alot more. I just wanted to say i'm happy to be part of a great forum.

Welcome aboard! :)

Take a peek at the "Domains Wanted" section to see what type of domains people are looking for. Also, I always recommend watching videos/interviews at domain sherpa especially the ones by Adam as well as the portfolio reviews. It could give you a good glimpse on how to buy and sell domains.

Good luck!

If it is i'll opt out :). Can i throw a total newby question out there, i have a domain that has just recieved a bid on ebay, (partiesnearby.com) i handregged it a couple of weeks ago and advised any potential bidders that they would have to be a godaddy member for me to push it to them, now i find godaddys support section to be a bit lacking (or maybe it's just me) so how would i transfer it to the new owner once it's been sold? Bearing in mind this is my first sale, any advice would be appreciated. And cheers for the welcome too Beards.net.

Welcome dantiva. Always a pleasure to hear from folk Down Under. Perhaps the most important lesson I've come by is that it's at least 10 times easier to buy domains than it is to sell them.

Welcome!

Those domainer taxes never go away. No matter how many domains a person sells, he DOESN'T sell far more.

Yes, I keep coming away feeling quite chuffed about all the new gTLDs I failed to get.
