I am working on a City site.
http://saintcloud.us

The logo at the top is called top.jpg

I needed to make a copy and call it logo.gif for the classifieds

http://www.saintcloud.us/phpclassifieds/detail.php?siteid=1

(the top image is now called logo.gif)

I applied a hyperlink to it also to link back to http://saintcloud.us

BUT no matter what I do , I cannot get the hyperlink to stick..very weird and driving me nuts..

I apply the hyperlink to logo.gif.
I save it.
I place it in the correct folder and path
http://saintcloud.us/phpclassifieds/layout_images/logo.gif

and save it again and publish/ upload ..but hyperlink never works...

This is like web 101 .but I cant figure out why the heck it isnt working..

should be obvious but it isn't for me today.....

Help .. 100 dnf to the first correct solution...

Well, are you uplaoding with FrontPage?

If so, go in to your file manager (on the server) or login through FTP and make the slight change in the HTML. Frontpage is great, if you ONLY use it to upload and edit. BUt if you start editing stuff w/o FP, next time you use FP< it becomes a pain.

Actually DevilD I am using Front Page....

You know If I do a source code in my browser at http://saintcloud.us/phpclassifieds.us I see right where I need to add <a href="http://saintcloud.us " target="_blank"> to my logo.gif image

but I cant find that same file(I can find it but it isnt the same ).. I assumed it is index.php but it isnt because what I am looking at in my browser under source is dynamicly generated ?

I am now looking at all the files in Cpanel and see if I can find the file their..

Getting closer..

I know have 2 Image fioles up !

but I actually have a link on one !

Now , I need to figure out how to get phpclassifieds from requesting "logo".gif ..I can just eliminate "logo.gif" but it will place a red x in it's place because the script is still calling for it..

I am accepting hints and where I can locate that request line :D

hey. I think I know what you problem is. At first it was OK, right? Only one logo, only that it lacked hyperlink? And then youve edited certain file, and now its calling 2 logos. The one that should contain logo code is header.php (or something like that). Then you just have to find out what .php is calling the next logo. My guess is, its probably the one that Youve edited, but you can also check in index.php to see what phps it is calling. Its probably the one after header.php..
