Wow, that's very well said. Here we go-- After almost 25 years domaining I've seen a lot and I mean a lot of different names for everything. But to answer your question straight forwardly.... A domain with both letters and a number is not a very good combination that is unless.... you intend on using it for a business name, a brand that you are developing or something similar. When I was a boy we lived in a certain town in California and a company had just built a big development there. My Dad told me about it. The name of this company was very weird for those days in the 70's. The company name was IBM. Was it weird then? Yes of course. Is it weird today? Of course not!
Choose a domain name that is short, easy to remember, and reflects your brand or services. Avoid numbers or hyphens and prefer a .com extension if possible.Hi
it depends on:
whether you're buying the domain to hopefully resell for profit or to develop
also, depends on:
what the actual letters are and the number in the domain or words and numbers.... and if it's .com or another extension.
ie: web3.com would be premium name for "web3" category, but xpe5.com wouldn't have much appeal on reseller market.
in every hypothetical situation, it always depends on the actual domain.
imo..
