Hello friends,
I have a very high potential, fairly large Honda forum with the best possible domains to run it, and I am looking for someone to take over.
The community currently has 3000+ members and is growing by approx. 10 to 20 new members per day. This forum grows with absolutely no advertising whatsoever. Traffic comes primarily from natural type-ins and search engine results thanks to the quality of the name. Brief history of the site before I owned it: It was a business established in 1997 which grew to over 200k members, involved in Honda events, sponsorship, and a bit of magazine publication (as the past owner told me). They stopped due to personal and financial reasons a few years later. I negotiated the purchase of the unused domains and began building from scratch in 2006.
Within a years time, I have managed to grow the site to what it is today. Some of the features I have done include a custom programmed vehicle profile system that is tightly integrated with user profiles, allowing them to upload images of their cars, metadata details of their cars, specs including interior, exterior, performance/handling modifications, etc. There is also a custom event system I recently created that allows users to find upcoming and past car meet events, which also allows photo uploading of its own. There are also 20+ exclusive, quality written Honda articles and DIY articles.
I also require all my members to list their locations upon registration, as my vision for the site is to be the largest online community of Honda owners, allowing them to network, event, share photos, get ideas for their cars and find other owners with similar vehicles.
Revenue: Currently, the site is not optimized to be making money. It only has one skyscraper ad on the right side, remaining unobtrusive to keep the surfing experience clean. Adsense is currently only generating $50+ a month, but could make much more with proper at targeting, placement, and other monetization options (affiliate programs, sponsorships, etc.). I have been approached by several dealers/sponsors who were interested in advertising on the site. However it was not until recently that I setup advertising packages, so I have yet to close any deals.
Traffic: Approx. 50+ members visit the site everyday, with usually about 30 guests online at any given time. Webalizer traffic shows around 1500+ uniques per day. Extreme tracking shows approx. 300-500 uniques per day. Iâm not sure about the reason for the difference between the two. But otherwise, all traffic is organic and free.
I am also not looking for any offers under $20,000 USD - so please make sure your budget for acquisition fits accordingly.
Some of you may probably know or have heard of the site- but since I am not desperate to push a fast sale, I would like to keep the sale of this site private.
