I am interested in anyone who either knows of a site that will allow the user to do a reverse whois look-up or check what the whois of a domain was a couple of years ago. The difference being a reverse whois would search based on certain criterion such as email address or registrant name wheras a histrical whois tool would enable the user to do so for past whois files as well as current ones. I am sure I had heard of a company that offered such a service in this forum previously but have found nothing concerning this. I and another party wouyld be willing to back the development of such a project if no such tools currently exist.

Thank you.

Dialog's prices are so terrible, I wish they would offer cheap unlimited monthly accounts, then they would have lots of users.

Would a domain's 'OLD' website be of any value to you?
It has nothing to do with a whois, but you could see their old site from anytime in the past, possibly revealing 'contact' info at the bottom of a homepage.
If so, go to archive.org, awesome for developing my defence in a couple of WIPO cases.

Maybe a site like Ibiblio.org would be interested in providing this information.

Some have posted various comments regarding why someone would need such a resource and some resources that do similar things. Unfortunately not one person has definitively stated that such a resource exists let alone having it in their possession. I am willing to pay cash for anyone who has such a resource. Please feel free to contact me.

Thank you.

I did see it George. I am not interested in paying on a per use basis for a resource of which I am not confident is extensive enough to accomplish what we need. Further I have contacted this company and they have made no effort to get back to me. I am looking to own the entire resource. I have talked to several people who have portions of what is needed to make this happen and if I must I will put together these disparate resources to make as complete of a resource as is possible with what is available.

Thank you.

Jim: try talking to SnapNames, as they're the ones providing the data for the project.
