Hello everyone. As you can see I'm new to DNForum and trying to learn as much as I can by reading as many posts as possible. But there are a couple of things I'm trying to find out that I can't seem to find.

For example, I see some people selling domain names by giving the history of them, when each name was originally registered, past yearly and monthly stats, etc.

Can anyone tell me how to find out the history of a Domain name before I purchase it?
Is it possible?

Thanks

A few places to start:
web.archive.org - shows website history
domaintools.com - shows when a domain was first registered, et.

GUA.com provides domain name History for free;

hosterstats.com also provides past information (name servers)

I am using DomainTools.com LESS now. One reason is i hate having to login.
But also, when you look at a domain record, you cannot cut-and-paste the
Admin email address. Thats really irritating. There is no reason for DomainTools
to be that right.

Also useful tools:

Compete.com
Wordtracker.com

You can also get any public sales history for a domain from DnSalePrice.com

Cheers,
