as a former owner of a lot of domains in that area (____shi*.com domains), it is indeed a very good offer given the traffic it gets, and given how it can be difficult to monetize the traffic.

thats probably north of 5 years revenue in any park-and-pop type program...chances off getting anything more IMHO are a bit slim (although stranger things have happened).

I'm guessing that there was no 5k offer to begin with. Looks like another one of 'em "hot air" tactics.

Could be Cappuccino, but stranger things have happenned on the web! And they will continue as long as people have money to burn! But it keeps us in wages anyhow!

Just contact that potential buyer again! :D

it definitely wouldn't require as much marketing or search rankings, etc... we all remember the domain name and that's the key ingredient to developing a valuable domain.

i could see it getting that type of offer

good luck

It could be a genuine offer, it could be someone sussing out the high end selling price and if he's selling at all. with 2 or 3 offers its an indication of the value but 1 offer??

Reseller high $xxx
End user low $x,xxx
