this post only shows that all single words are not created equal...

but i'd agree, i'd say hound.com and .net are worth @ mid $$,$$$

Great Name. Somewhere around between mid/high $xx,xxx and $1xx,xxx, but hard to nail that down.

Very brandable. Good name for a search engine.

Real quality.

Usually 40 to 60k for this kind of name but perhaps not as easy to brand.

Therefore I would guess $20k to $40k to an end user.

I have to agree with Matvey; 5-10k.

Personally, I would be reluctant to spend 5k on it...

A nice, single-word dot com in the pet market, but unfortunately not many people think of 'hound' when talking/researching/shopping about pets. Decent ovt w/o extension and a 48 with - but not spectacular. And not a lot of demand for the word by advertisers.

The right end-user could possibly fetch (sorry :)) lower to mid-xx,xxx. For a reseller, any offer above $10k I'd take in a hearbeat.

Here in Texas (and elsewhere in the South), we love our hounds. Certainly don't sell below $15k. I'd note dog.net
and Feline.com both sold recently for $15k. I don't know the logic on valuing farm animals and
pets (e.g. cow, bird and fish) but I would put below lunch.com; maybe near cow.com and tractor.com.
So I would say between $15k and $45k. However if the farm/pet guys are interested it could go higher.

hound.com + hound.net as a package = $10 - 25K or thereabouts.

Good names, but don't expect an early retirement from these.

The name hound does NOT have to be pet related.

Think of

"search" not just for web but for all kinds of thinks people look for, information mainly, but other things too, off course.

No less than $xx,xxx to either a reseller or end user, obviously less to a reseller.
