1.) Dot net is sub-par in my opinion.
2.) Wouldn't "House Wares" be better?

I guess if you were selling teddies and pajamas it would be fair.

Andrew.. the name up for appraisal is the .com
Housewears.com

My mention of the .net (site developed) was too show there is a developed .net on this name.

Thanks for the feedback.. do you have a $$ valuation of the .com?

My Bad,

>> HouseWears.Com

..

My original #2 posted still applies. I would generally say $30 - $80. However, the fact that HouseWears.Net is in action means it is worth much more. If you found the right buyer (of if they found you) it could potentially be worth $200 to somebody because it is a very descriptive domain. Still confusing with 'House Wares' though which I think would be worth more.

no prob..

right.. end buyer/user could possibly gain traffic from the .net.. as many folks tend to key in the .com out of habit..

right.. House Wares is the correct spelling for kitchen gadgets etc..
however, might be a worthy typin.. by error.. going to housewears..

who knows? but i like the name.. and it's worth my marketing time..

Any buyers out there.. ?? send me your offers by pm.

Thankyou!

I think in this case the .net being developed makes this less valuable. I think the logical use for this name would be for lingerie and would be infringing upon the owner of the .net

If someone wanted it for brandability as some other type of site, they would have the problem of the .net being adult oriented and may not want the stigma of that.

I think your best bet is to go after the .net holder for a quick sale. Perhaps you could say something to the effect of "we registered several possibilities for a new clothing company we are starting, but during our research we found that you have this term associated with adult related merchandise, thus making it less appealing to us as a future home. Would you be interested in selling HouseWears.net to us or alternatively would you like to acquire the .com from us"

It's risky, but I think the upside is $250-$500 to the .net holder vs. $20-$50 otherwise.

Does it actually get any traffic?

Thanks 2ga..

I agree.. the .net holder would find the name more valuable then others.. I'm currently in contact.

Funny thing.. is this..

when I bought the name, I had no clue the name reflected an adult clothing theme.. I looked at the name as a great type in typo for housewares..

thanks for the feedback
