True domainers do not sell on the Ebay platform. And it wasn't $500 keyword .coms... majority were ccTLDS

Not sure what you mean by $500? You must be looking at some other eBay list because I only see about 15 ccTLDS (.us) with the vast majority of the 500 names being keyword com's.

Let me rephrase. There's a crap load of .nets, .us, .org and a lot of .infos. And 90% of the the .com are 3 words or more i.e crap. Seller was smart for dumping them. (Though I admit I saw one or 2 decent .us I would of just tagged another year to)
 
Were they near expiration? That also makes a difference in the price if they are all about to expire.
 
Junk will always be worth junk...no matter what the market is like.
