Listening to NAS right now.

Bizarre for me.

But I am so into all music. I love exploring the evolution of music, especially recorded music.

I have a collection of perhaps 2 - 4 thousand old 78 RPM records. Not sure how many, actually.

The evolution of music is fascinating and the influences from one artist to another becomes evident.

I read a book many years ago, perhaps 15 or more, on the evolution of Rap and HipHop dealing primarily with Compton CA. I don't even remember the name of the book. I moved to my present location in 1996 so I know it is at least that old.

Very interesting...I love rap music but all black music (blues, jazz, funk, soul) ispired me.
In my recording studios here in Italy some nights I turn off the lights and I listen Miles Davis till the morning...

I'm very happy to meet so many peoples that love music here!!
Doc Com have you some favorite artists? (not hip hop in general).

Listen to this 2PAC Remix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gii4vsaIIyw&feature=related

Like I told Carter, I usually don't like remixes, but there are some good ones floating around out there.

I hate 50 cent and Eminem, listen to this remix with those 2 clowns vs 2pac, compare with Pac's flow. Insane! Good example of back to back comparison.

Another good remix I dug up with Eazy-E and Pac

Very great remixes Seraphim specially the first!

Listen this remix with an Arabic artist...the voice of the Don match perfectly with the singer! http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=sO-HmsVgGWE&feature=related

Rare videos :)

Carter, like the Arabic 2pac remix, it's nice. I have to dig around for some Arab music, haven't heard much of it. Love exploring foreign music.

I've been listening to rap/hip-hop since I was 12. The last few years I've listened to southern rap mostly. UGK for life!

Yeah arab music, african music I think that type of sound is very expressive and intense...

It would take a book to list my favorite artists. I have often thought of compiling a list of my top 100 songs, Musicians, and Movies.

I never can narrow them down to only 100.

I have been listening to Fado and going back to classical, in particular modern artists such as Midori on violin and Yo Yo Ma on cello. Yo Yo Ma has put out some good colaberations lately dealing with Appalachian Music.

By the way, my first opera was Aida at the Arena di Verona in 2005. Incredible! So of course I had to buy all the Verdi operas I could find with the finest voices like the Italian tenors.

And then I go off somewhere to a Rolling Stones concert or Jane's Addiction.

You never know where I might end up. :approve:

Mobb Deep
Just got done hearing a couple of cuts of theirs.

That's what I like about last.fm. Really mix it up well.
