I'm not selling it just yet, gonna give it one more go of promoting it etc but I am finding it hard to get it going.

So just wondering if I did sell it what could I ask for it on Ebay or anywhere really.

It's PR4

Gets on average 50-60 uniques a day.

Has 5 or 6 regularish posters.

Thanks

my appraisal was based on:

1- domain name: www.grungemusicforum.com : 3 words, 16 characters = very long and high rate of misspelling.

2- Content: PHPNuke that takes 5 minutes to install.

3- Visitors: 50 a day

Total = $20 Reseller value, a little more for an end user. Good luck with it though :)

Thnx but as I say, I know it's worth more then that, maybe if the forum had no posts or no members posting at all then I'd agree.

You'd have to be able to say how much your traffic has been able to "convert". For instance, what percentage of the 50-60 uniques actually click on your ads. Maybe that's not allowed under Google TOS, I don't know. I also don't know how monetizeable your audience is. Do they spend most of their time in the arcade, or in the forum? Your uniques may be more a sign of how "sticky" an arcade is. Looks like you're doing a good job of running though.

Best,

Ross, forums must be one of the most difficult things to sell. They require too much work, so only a person that is 100% interested in your topic will be interested in buying it. That narrows the market a lot.
PR isn't important anymore. Those days are gone since Google stopped doing the regular PR updates. No serious webmaster cares much about PR anymore.
50 or 60 uniques per day are really nothing. How could you get some income from such tiny traffic? No one would pay hundreds of dollars for a site if there is no possible way for it to make some income. And don't try the "potential" pitch, since that isn't a good point. People all over the place try to sell sites and forums saying things like "it has huge potential" "in the right hands it could make thousands" and similar stuff. Real income, real traffic is what matters, potential is just a dream.

You may need to hang on to the forum and make it grow 10 times more, and then maybe you would find a buyer, but as it is now, I must agree with everyone else and only give it a value of 2 digits, maybe a couple of hundred bucks if you are lucky.
