I just received my receipt from Pool to the tune of $1,872.00.

I purchased a total of three .mobi domains.

How about you?

I don't see the appeal for .mobi, so I've spent $0 as well....

$120 - two names at reg fee from Godaddy. My new rule when it comes to "new" TLDs is that I won't buy unless there is some serious backing to go along with it (Microsoft, Nokia, et al) and a roll-out that is designed to spread the names around. The fact that they will be auctioning off the domains only tells me they "get it".

As I see it the risks are low on this one, so I hedged my bets. I bought a LLL.mobi whose letters go right down the middle of the QWERTY keyboard on both the blackberry and Windows Mobile product. Hint: Elequa owns the net and .org. The .com has a 404 error page showing however the OVT w/ext is 2240.

The other domain is a generic word that all gamers will come to know 4/07. Not sure if it will be .mobi, but I expect some bleed from the .com. In time, this one could produce some serious mobile traffic.

This would have made a good poll. Too bad we don't have that feature anymore...

succesfully pre-ordered 50 .mobi domains thru Dotster & won 4 .mobi domains in Pool auctions ... already got 7 offers for a few of my .mobi's ...2 of those offers would pay for my entire .mobi investment
