If a domain is newly registered and still under the 60 days ICANN rule, it must be pushed to another account within the same registrar. So if you register a name at Enom and sell it within 60 days, you can only push it to the buyers Enom account.
If you buy a domain from someone and it is outside the 60 day rule, they will still push it to your account from the same registrar, but then you can transfer the name to another registrar (if preferred). The only exception to this is GoDaddy which requires a 60 day hold on a name before it can be transferred out after the domain contacts have changed.

"Pushing" a domain means pushing a domain from one account to another within the same registrar.
Transferring a domain is when you have a domain in Registrar A and transfer it to Registrar B. Usually this is done with a name you currently own instead of purchasing.

Each registrar is different. Inside the registrar it will give you the push option. The only registrar that allows a "pull" is dynadot. The others only allow you to push, otherwise you will be pulling names out of everyone's accounts and that wouldn't be a good thing 
Nuances could be:
1.) Buyer charging back the money they paid you.
2.) Backing out after agreeing to purchase a name
3.) Using a fake credit card
Some good things to look at is a verified member seal next to a users name. This means their address details have been verified by DNF and gives a little more security. Next, is the users iTrader feedback rating. This is similar to eBay where others leave feedback from previous transactions. You can also look at how long the user has been a member. The list goes on and on.

BIN='Buy It Now' or the price the domain is available to buy without negotiating.
By buying at the BIN price you can ensure the purchase and avoid a last minute 'sniper' from out-bidding you by a small increment to obtain the domain.
The downside is you may pay more then needed but at least you get the name.
