Just picked this up for reg cost. CPC is around $20 for that keyword. Is it even worth the $3 I spent? Thanks.

The name is worth zero and you are not thinking about domain names correctly. The insight you are using is not the type that should get the prize in life. Think about it. Would life be fair if someone who had insights like this could make money, while there are people born in third world countries without drinkable water?

Have a little for respect for yourself. You can hold yourself to a higher standard than this. Here you are born into the wealthiest country, during the most prosperous period in mankind's history, and yet you are going down this rathole of garbage names.

And your signature with the .us lets me know that you have been suckered into buying crap early on when you started domaining. It is hard to stay away when supposedly knowledgeable people tell you otherwise. I remember when the owner of Dn Journal had some ridiculous post about .us names a few years ago. They suck, and most all are worth ZERO.

Imagine being on a plane, and lo and behold, the world's most beautiful movie star is sitting right next to you. She happens to be single, and so do you. You no not deserve to have her acknowledge you for even a second if you register names like this, then waste other people's time asking their opinion.

In life, in order to get what you want, you usually need to deserve what you want. Keep buying names like this, and keep registering .us names, like I assume you do, and your life is going to really suck bad. Nobody else will help people around here, so I felt it was my moral duty today to try to lend a hand.

That's quite the rant WhoDatDog. You're making a lot of assumptions about Splo based off very little information.

Personally, I think the domain is a decent buy for $3 but I don't see it selling for more than low $$$ at best or $$ if you tried to sell it on the forums.

You forgot to tell him that his penis is small.

No problem. Forums basically got ruined years ago when dogshit names and dogshit ideas where allowed to run wild. The funny part is that I used to get banned when I called out documented scammers. I can list people here who outright committed fraud, and yet I was banned, even after documenting it.

What happens is that people get stuck with these horrific names and then they try to unload them on others. This ruins the forums. I catch every lie, and I see it still, yet try to stay out of it. One of the common SCUMBAG moves is for someone to list some names in a thread, then NOBODY responds, so they bump the post with with the line..."Keep the offers coming". There are NO ****ING OFFERS. Understand?

The other move is to lie and say that someone has offered XXX by PM. Generally, that is not the case, and I have seen seasoned domainers commit this fraud, even for names in the XX,XXX range. People who sell traffic names are a whole new breed of animal.

At the end of the day, there has NEVER been a domainer with a known reputation in the industry who has ever sold a name on a forum to a newbie that changed that newbie's life forever in a good way. Not a single one. But that is fine, as those with blogs and other people who have names in the business are not mandated by law to ever give someone a deal.

The problem is that those who KNOW, will not stand up to obvious fraud. But worse than that, those who KNOW mainly avoid trying to offend people who have no clue. The reason they do that is because they might want to sell this ignorant person a name one day.

So, I try not to post here, but I get suckered in once in a while, but unlike before, I do not need to be able to do business on domain forums. I have other businesses and interests. Even when I depended on domain sales I still went out on the limb and told it like it was, and was banned a number of times.

Appraising a name at zero is easy, as most are worth zero. Even the upcoming Traffic Auction has some names that are worth zero, and they are touted as being worth owing. Mostly garbage. Terrible names.

There was even a guy here a few years ago who told people his child died, yet he was posting all through the days it supposedly happened. I called him out immediately and people jumped on me. It turned out I was right, as usual.

A scam is a scam is a scam, and a worthless name is worthless even if nobody has the guts to say it. So, figure it out, or continue being losers, worrying about how much someone you don't even know values a domain name.

The name is worth zero. I am right about that. Get lost.

It's times like now that I wish you could dislike someone's post. What a tool.

What a D-bag

Obviously someone hasn't taken his pills. F-ing psycho...

Thank you Dorkside for your thoughts and appraisal.

To whodatdog's comments: I don't know how having a county icon associated with my dnforum account is telling about my domain purchasing habits; and further, how somehow that would shape my character. For what it is worth though, I don't own a single .us domain.
