It's worth less than registration fee, sorry. You don't "make" weed or weeds, they are plants. "Weed" is a slang term for cannabis which can be grown outdoors or indoors. Weed/cannabis is not made in a lab or kitchen by cooking up chemicals. To grow weed/s you stick a seed in dirt, and add water (of course if you want to grow the good stuff there are several more important steps..)

If you just registered this domain try to get a refund from your registrar.. The estibot appraisal means nothing. Be careful buying domains that have a high estibot appraisal, this is just a tool to measure some stats on the domain.. The actual appraisal (dollar amount) is the most meaningless number that is provided by that service.

yes but it is very commonly searched and people could learn that weed is not made but grown it could be used as an informational site on how weed is grown still so it could possibly still be worth something if I am not mistaken as there is a large numbers of searches for "How to make weed" that if set up correctly by an enduser then they could teach people that weed is not made but grown and they could also proceed to teach on how it is grown.

But what do I know I am not very good at this domainer thing yet still much of a newb.

Thanks,
John

I am new to buying/selling domains but my experience with Internet/Blogs/SEO tells me that a couple of articles on how to make weed with some backlinks on your daily tips blog will bring in good amount of search results. I mean what else can you do with this domain other then giving them some tips in form of articles? Any other marketing ideas?

Once I wrote an article on spytector review. I saw that people were searching a lot for the keyword "spytector review" and the top few search terms were from cnet and other high profile sites. All I did was include the keyword in my URL/Article headline twice and included the keyword a few times in my article and for last 2 months my article is ranked at 3 position in Google for keyword "spytector review". I didn't buy spytectorreview.com for this though it is available and is keyword rich.

You know in last 2-3 days I stumbled upon around 10 domains that estibot marks to be around $500 or $1000 but I didn't register any as most of them were just like insert few articles, insert ads, and get clicks. You need to think about more than articles and lots of other marketing ideas.

Why will someone buy a domain if all he gets from it is few visits from search engine that will bring in some ad clicks?

Again --> I am very new to domain business and haven't yet made my first sale :) So please if I am talking stupid then do correct me.

Thanks

EDIT: nicedomain's post was very interesting and we (the new guys) must take them seriously. Just check his portfolio man. He has a gold mine with him. :)

search this phrase with quotes and you will see that this is not the full search string...the subjects people are searching for are related to "how to make weed brownies" "how to make weed grow faster" and others, you are simply using half of the search phrase and assuming that is a purposeful search but it is not I'm afraid. Good luck, smoke one. :smokin:

that number does not indicate searches... for searches you'd have to check the google keyword tool. But I bet that the monthly exact searches for the term will be pretty low

actually it might be a good idea, now he can delete the name and ask for a refund :)

I joined DNF back in June and the moment I joined I was sooo excited that I registered two domains. In no time I had threads asking for appraisals and I was ripped off the same way :P

Now I returned to DNF after almost a year  and this time I am more calm and composed. It feels great that I gave up the idea of registering domains which estibot said to be $970 :)

I am studying more and more. Won't get into this pool soo easily. Lots of studies to be done first

a few of them. None of them refunds the entire amount though. Dynadot for example refunds the reg fee minus a $2 fee

and also, try to stay away from 4 word domains. 2 words are better.

Shitty name, but you inspired me to see if there were any really great names out there still available to add to the ten or so "weed" related domains I already own.

I found this little gem... growingtips.net

Thanks!
