I'm happy to report that things have got back to normal here. my CTR improved by the way. That's great !

My stats haven't improved compared to the days right before the upgrade... more clicks were being counted. And the domains dropped by Google didn't come back.

However, I still like Parked. They have great customization tools. They have wonderful communication with their clients both privately and in the forums and they appear to be doing as much as they can for the benefit of everyone. So I am still very happy with their professional demeanor.

Perhaps things will improve down the road.

Parked is definitely the best parking company around. Great people, great results.
Hats off to Donny, Sonny and the rest of the staff. Behind this company, I'm sure there are very committed and caring people.

The thing they could do to improve the business is bring a guy that has a huge experience in SEO marketing and is ready to work with the domainers. This employee would act as a dedicated counsel, a consultant, could be hired by domainers, to help them maximize their assets, all this following the parking rules of course. Parked can make more money while giving a better service.

It's a win win for everybody. Keep it up !

"more money while giving a better service" is PARKED.COM's Secret Weapon!

Donny does Parked filter out googlebot visits from our daily traffic stats?

I've got double the normal traffic so far today (sadly a 0% ctr wth!) and I'm suspecting google's little web-slave is making the rounds again - hopefully capturing our domains as they used to.

whitebark,

i've noticed that visits from sedo (whether they use a bot or manually) register in the hit counts. After submitting names for listing (not parking) on sedo, names that had never gotten hits were getting 1-2 hits per day for the whole span of time (~7 days) that sedo was 'verifying' my domains. Once all were verified, these domains stopped getting hits again. could be something like that.

Has everyone seen their revenue stabilize yet?

Since 9/21 my RPM and CTR% have both returned to their norms. My RPC has actually increased a little as well. I'm missing out on some traffic that I was previously receiving from Google because of the spidertrap.php issue which of course is affecting my overall revenue but other than that everything seems normal.

What about your stats Focus?

Last pay period (2 weeks) was down about 30% from the previous one...we shall see for the new one..it seems maybe there are fluctuations in payout from yahoo

I have total faith in parked.com and obviously there are fluctuations that are beyond their control but sometimes updated stats just simply do not make sense when you know people are clicking on the same thing everyday and one day pays $1.00 and the next day $2.00, then .50/click, etc. etc....and when it starts going down instead of up after the update then I start to wonder...but hopefully all will improve overall regardless of the source of the dips in revenue and we can all continue to send lots of traffic to parked.com, they are the best parking company right now and I love them.

I am noticing a definite improvement. (This is Tuesday Oct 2nd btw)

My CTR went down from around 30-35% to low 20%s around the same time as everyone here was reporting a drop.

However at the same time I turned off the ask.com feed and went yahoo globally. I was worried this would also not help the situation.

However just the last five days there has been a definite steady improvement despite the fact that I have more unoptimsed names in the account, with CTR back into the thirties and a few days going into the 40%s!

The rollercoaster continues! Cookingstones.com got a a few clicks which really cheered me up! (Just a personal thing for me with that domain.)

How do you do that???

You have to login (and out) 5 times then hit the stats link for the last 7 days click the top domain and the option button will appear to turn it on or off...it's a yellow button

My traffic was way off for the days mentioned in this thread too.
Seem to be better now but not back to normal. CTR and Rev off too.
I hope it does all come back...

i'm up across the board - go figure.

How do you do that???

1. Login to parked.com and click Account Information

2. On the right hand side of the screen you should see:

"Alternate Traffic Destination"

There are two options:

"Use Primary Only" = Yahoo
"Use Primary & Secondary" = Yahoo and Ask

Just select the one you want. However if Yahoo dont want it or dont have ads it will go to your alternate destination which you specifiy.

I think that's it.

Would someone mind explaining what the spidertrap.php issue means exactly? I have a vague understanding of what a spidertrap is...but might be wrong?

I saw that this happened to some of my parked domains as well and just want a better understanding how this affects traffic (and my yet to be back to normal revenue). Thanks.

My revenue has been on the rise this week, and stable.... I'm seeing increases on a wide number of names, not just 1 or 2.

Also, I changed a picture to one of my adult names and it made a very noticable difference.
