there's 2 days and 16 hours left... it's not staying anywhere near that price.

That's just an asking price.

I think it will land high $X,XXX... but it's eBay... I've had some very disappointing sales on there.

Where are the domain sleuths?

Some red flags on this name.

Recently changed whois from a US company to an individual in Romania.

No reserve auction.

Ebay payment terms: Moneybookers

Yeah. Even though it might sound offending to some people, Romanian owner = often trouble. Unfortunately.

Most buyers on eBay hide until the last second so, you never know

The buyer listed the domain's minimum offer around $12,000 so if the bidding doesn't get anywhere close then he'll probably end the auction early.

That's not too long ago (yikes... just realized it's March already...), so keep in mind that the Sedo listing could be on a fake account.

I've seen a few names on Sedo in the past (won't say which ones) that didn't line up in the way of ownership.

If it's a stolen name, the WHOIS information could be altered so that it matches with the Sedo registrant details, thereby getting Sedo's approval.

I know for a fact that the name had to be validated in some manner, as any listing price excessive of $10,000 USD/GBP/Euro needs to be manually verified by a Sedo employee.

Stop doing this. There is no fake account, I have this name on sedo, and ebay also. I did try to delete this domain from sedo , but was impossible as i had a counter offer.
I am the romanian you talking about, and although as you say ofter romanians means trouble, I do have a 100% feedback on ebay, also never had a problem here or on namepros.
I do get better price on ebay than here ,thats a fact. That's maybe because i was born in Romania, maybe not, I do not know, but I do not like that either, and I feel that I'm loosing money this way.
Anyway, to clarify this, I have purchased hvc.com straight from the original registrant not long time ago. I like to flip domains, any problems ?
