Not at all. Search the web, a lot of people have done this already and the prices have dropped. Just check how muich spam the email address on your domain whois gets. That shows the databases are out. It will definitely cost the extra buck to get fresh database, but not at all a 4 digit $ figure. 3 digit would be sufficient.
