Seems auctioning off country code extensions is pretty common now days, verisign aren't the only ones to do it. Though the prices they are asking are silly in my opinion.

Snoopy wouldn't even give an old lamb bone for any of those names

 

I emailed them and they replied in 10 minutes! Now if only they did the same with their support
