I get offers on identitytheft.com but don't want to leave money on the table. Thanks for your evaluation.

This is a six figure puppy easily. Credit card companies with caverness pockets would drool all over this.

Probably for the same reason that other domains sit there for years and then get sold for a boatload. The right buyer has to come along or you have to broker it properly! You need the right contacts or some really good luck. I really don't foresee this domain needing either though...turn your television on and you'll here about identity theft in every credit card commerical that comes on. It's a premium domain.

i would list it on sedo.com and get the domain parking fees at least. agree that it is a top domain and $100,000 minimum.

there's only one cc company that uses 'identity theft' as a theme for their advertising campaign (citibank - live richly.) and they been doing it 4 months. one would just think that they would sign blank checks 4 this domain, but they apparently haven''t. at least not yet. i just think that cc companies are notoriously stingy with their finances, and they might be willing 2 pay less than many of us think.

having said that, i also know this domain is much more than one advertising campaign. these keywords strike fear in the hearts of average american consumer (whose perception is skewed coz of the relentless adcampaigns such is the one u r talking about. out of 300m u.s. population very few get their identies stolen, yet the ad campaigns purposelly and sleazily make it look like its just matter of time b4 all of our identies will be stolen by crooks,) and that is why cc companies stand 2 make a killing on selling additional anti-fraud services & protections etc..

so i agree that this is a premium domain, especially since we know that it will be used 4 ugly commercial purposes.

so you guys might be right. if i am not desperate 4 money, i personally wouldn't sell it for under six figures out of my personal conviction.

show no mercy toward the intended buyers.

Don't see a credit card company paying much for it. Unlesss its typein frequency skyrockets. Too generic and negative for the blue suits.

But I do see a start up or exsisting, identity protection company, paying for it. 10,000 now with good yearly appreciation. Identity theft probably won't go away.

Identity theft is a major problem which keeps on growing. Right now if someone puts on table high $$$$ to low $$$$$ , take it. Or hold it for bigger amount in future. This is a very good name. Goodluck.

I don't think any credit card company will buy it. Which credit card company will like to be associated with the phrase "Identity Theft"?

But that does not mean that I am trying to say that it is not a great domain as it surely is. I think is is valued handsomely.

But it will be a great domain for educational/non-profit/federal entity.

Just my opinion.

If you take four digits for this you are getting robbed. If interested buyers can't even offer mid-to-high five digits then you shouldn't waste your time talking to them.

Read an article on the net the other day. Said in 2002 there were 9.91 million identity theft victims, representing 4.6% of the U S population.

60 percent of identity theft events are commited by family members.

Your son is completing a credit application with your name on it as we speak.

It's one of those names that leaves you scratching your head thinking that surely it's already owned by a big company, it's developed and it's well known? How could it possibly not be?

I think that is the magic wow factor that is very, very difficult to find.

high xxx,xxx

Good luck to you!!
