I don't buy crap - hence my distancing from the IDN pirate ship.

Could you tell us your .nets, .org, what's the range of PPC you earn from Sedo a mth? Low $xxxx, Mid $xxxx, $xx,xxx?

Persian? You mean Irani. Yes, awesome deal. I am sure thousands of Iranis type this very moment those numbers in their browser - if only their oppressive government allowed Internet access.

I watched the IDN market since 2000 and it's still the same: hype, deception and fluff.

My CPA and IRS are the ones to know.

As someone who has a very broad and diversified portfolio, perhaps 5% is IDN.

In regards to IDN, where is a good place to park???

Dopa is somewhere lost in action with poor support and no response to numerous emails. Chinese traffic had been very good but no my account show NO DATA AVAILABLE and has for over a week.

Other IDN's are symbols and French, with some Japanese. So, where to park is the question. The Chinese traffic was hitting at Sedo but no CTR.

The Chinese traffic was very good with Dopa with decent CTR, but no one at home.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

My CPA and IRS are the ones to know.
And you.

I agree with Acroplex on several points. Saying "how much this", "how much that" is an absurd waste of time. Would hardly be believable at any rate unless results are published and results ARE published. Including private sales.

Pissing in each other's cornflakes solves nothing and ends up causing more grief and misery than adding to the knowledge base.

I for one have explored IDN and have purchased IDN's so perhaps time spent answering my questions and educating me would be of greater benefit than trading slaps via keystokes.

Acroplex started this thread and had points to make and somehow this thread got revived.

To me its just like the mobi threads. You either like them or not. IDN, you either like them or not.

I am not going to believe a damn word on either side regarding sales, parking earnings or whatever dollar figure you want to print. It is totally irrelevant. There is a market for everything. It is a matter of knowing your market and MARKETING to your market.

Everybody's business is THEIR business. Everyone's portfolio is THEIR portfolio.

I have learned from Acroplex in many matters involving domains and the business of domaining. And this comes from someone (me) who owns .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .US, .NAME (only 1), .CN, .MS, .TW, .BZ, IDN, .EU, and .MOBI.

Like they say...one man's trash is another man's cash.

No, I mean Persian, as in Farsi, as in the language. Yes, Iranians speak it; it has roughly 100 million total speakers.

Have you tried NameDrive? They have a great interface and are very user-friendly, and provide native-language pages with ads served in a huge variety of languages. They just made some upgrades to their service also. I am happy with them.

The entire domain industry is now being hyped, especially ASCII, just like the real estate and subprime hype in the USA. Who hasn't sold a .com for an insane amount of money to a newbie? As in all hypes, there will always be an awakening, so if you are sour over what is happening, it's time for you to look into another hobby or business as it will only get worst, and not better. In fact, the show hasn't started for the domain industry.

And just as you won't say about your stats, the idn players also won't, everyone is secretive about what they got. :)

Many top tier Japanese companies and web business have already set their sites up using Japanese idn. Funny, someone still calls this hype.

George Bush still denies that global warming exists. There are people that deny the Holocaust. By that standard, it is not surprising that some domainers still don't get what is going on in IDN. It isn't the most obvious phenomenon in the domain world yet. But by the time they key in to what the facts are telling them, the big opportunity in IDN will have passed them by. That's fine with me.

.... but as the buyers laid out some big bucks it could mean that IDN's are not worthless garbage after all? :uhoh:

Ohhhhh ... dunno about that .. these eccentric IDNers are not known for their business acumen so I would maybe write this off as well, put it down to more money than sense probably ... why would anyone spend that kind of money of funny looking squiggles .. and foreign funny looking squiggles at that, well I never!

Or ... nevermind ...

Acroplex just curious of the best domain you have and the highest sale you made. ?

Many of us don't want to reveal too much, because we are still catch dropping. We'll be silly to reveal the best names and invite competition. The ones here that make noise are the minority, resellers and a few big mouth like myself. The majority keep quiet.

Don't those Korean people realize yet that it's impossible to type Korean with a querty keyboard! They ought to be investing in fourth rate ascii domains instead! :uhoh:

Patience! All will undoubtedly be explained to The Great and The Good at TRAFFICS East and then we will no doubt get a few scintillating insights here for us ordinary folk. ;)
