Every few days I keep getting emails (unsolicited) from a company called 'WebnameSolution.com. I generally ignor them but earlier this week there was actually a domain in the title that caught my eye. So I went to the site and did a search to see what other domains they had that I might be interested in (being one to always look for the opportunity to make a few bucks on a quick turn around). Straight away I noticed that they had listed the following 2 domain names:

0.com (that is numeral zero.com)
000.com (that is treble numeral zero.com)

Well this must be a mistake. :?: so trying to be helpful I telephoned their support people to let them know, 'Oh sorry, that must have been a mistake' was the young chaps answer.

Well today I just thought I would check again, and yes the above two domains have now been removed but I wondered what else was available from 'WebnameSolution.com'. Well I did a cursory check of the numeral domains and in the end thought I would start off by buying these few domains as in my email to their support staff. If I did buy these at the price suggested I could retire forever!:approve:

Here is my prelim enquiry email:

Hi,

Can you please confirm the following before I place my order and make payment to you for the undermentioned domains.

1) The domains are available for purchase.
2) The domains are priced at $199.95 each.
3) The price in '2' above is the selling price and not an opening offer price.
4) The domain ownership and control of the domains will be transferred to me within 24 hours of me making payment.
5) You presently control the domains.
6) Please inform me at which registrar the domains are registered.

I wish to purchase the following domains you have listed for sale at $199.95.

22.com
25.com
28.com
36.com

Yours truly,

Bill Roy

Now let me see, how much do you reckon I could resell these domains for?

Obviously something is terribly wrong here, and I therefore wish all newbies in particular to be aware of the fact that just because you get an email offering you a great name does not mean either the sender owns or is entitled to broker the domain.

Mind you, the dream of owning the above domains gave me a few minutes of 'If only I had registered all of them..............' (I am sure we all do that occassionally.)

Total scam, search the forum.
They offer to sell domains that they do not own. Some are even unregistered.

All joking aside I have to agree. They give us straight laced hardworkers a bad name. Taking the easy and criminal route ( imo ) to make a quick buck. I was glad to see some of " those types " banned a while back. They should go start their own little group in a dark pit somewhere in cyberspace.
