In addition to names like TajMahal.co.in , Ganges.co.in , Gov.co.in I also own almost all of the India .co.in state names (you know- like Texas.us) + some city names that were gov registry restricted.

Cannot think of a much better portal for a travel site than India.Ind.in using all the state and city names for redirection.

As you can see I only think these extensions will go one way- and it ain't down- massive potential JMO

It appears you got your fix. It's tough. A new landrush opens. You are at your computer. Your credit card is begging you to be used. You're thinking if I don't buy "X" domain someone else will. It's like you think dot .in will be THE last domain to ever roll out.

No, dot .in won't be the last. Save some dough for dot .eu. FAST FORWARD 1 year: Someone once said that the Europen Union could rival the United States as far as purchasing power and clout. It's a tough call. To .eu or not to .eu. In the end, you'll tell yourself you'll just buy a few. After checking WHOIS some days later, you realize no one has reg'd, "InternetComputer.eu" ...I know what you're thinking at this point... How in the world did everyone gloss over "internetComputer.eu". You know happens next. 100 domains later you begin to get the sick feeling in your stomach. You realize you blew $1500 on domains that may or may not have value. To keep things alive you post an "appraisal", hoping just 1 person will say, "good going Joe", you've got yourself a decent domain. Let's hope so Wot!

Maybe we should all strive to become registrars instead of the neurotic domainer looking for the "great domain".

Pay the ICANN fee....open up shop. At least when the next wave of shiny new domains comes along you'll have a better chance at getting domains that may actually have value.

Alas, most of us in the backs of our mind think of ourselves as consumers, rather than shopkeepers. If we could only turn the "switch" the other way. Things would be a lot clearer!!

Wow, a full blown epic portrayal of the domain game summed up in two paragraphs.

On another note, you can play by the book or choose not to. Sometimes the biggest risks are ultimately going to be the biggest pay offs on the other hand they could also be the biggest disappointments. Of coarse everybody already knows this. As for predicting the future of dot in domains, only time will tell. I remember there being talk about India becoming the world's next super power. I would personally like to believe otherwise but if this were to happen per say. The dot in domains would obviously have value. Obviously if this were to happen it wouldn’t be anytime soon anyway.

Since all of your domains are actual places I have a feeling that regardless of what happens you’ll probably have nothing to worry about in the end but it’s still too soon to say.

Is your goal to actually develop the India.in site?
