Considering the important role that India-based domain companies and investors have played in the history of this business, it is somewhat surprising that the country has never hosted a major event centered around domain investors and developers. That is scheduled to change about 10 weeks from now with plans just announced for the inaugural DOMAINX™ event to be held in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 7, 2014 - a sponsor supported event with no registration charge.

Confirmed Speakers: Ron Jackson, Michael Castello, Michael Gilmour, Jon Yau, Morgan Linton, Deepak Daftari and Ritvik VikasMishra (Government/Cabinet Secretariat).

Yes jaydub, since it's a first time conference in India, we had to be very careful about not over-doing things. This will also give us good learning experience on how to do things better at our second attempt next year :)

One day theory is also based on a thorough research performed on various (related) events happening across the country where participation & engagement actually slowed down after the first day at multiple day events.

Looking forward to make a successful history with this one! :)

If someone is travelling from overseas to india, it probably would not be a good idea to travel internationally for one day only.

DomainScoop, I completely understand your point of view and its a good one for the future events, however, overseas & local participants/attendees will be arriving one or two days prior to the event date. While staying at the same Hotel, they will have more than one day to be honest :)

Again, even one or two days prior or after wont cut it. The event should be like 3 days long and then it makes sense to stay there for atleast week or so. Anyhow thats just my 2 cents. Good luck with the event :)
