Is the site up? it does not load for me.

btw great name! value has been predicted by many..i see a lot of value in development though..you plan to resell in the near future or try your luck at development first?

Not too sure if I'll go for resale or development at this point to be honest.

If you do sell, let me know ;)

Excellent domain, no less than 400K, do not sell, develop, wait a couple of years, the domain's value will go up...

a great domain, how much did you pay for it (if its not a secret)

low mid xxx.xxx

I'd prefer to keep the cost private (as would the seller), but I will say it wasn't cheap.

Brilliant name, may I say!

Do not sell lower than 450,000$. I know the price what you paid for it, because I was also in negotiations with the selling party. You paid hefty price for it, but I would have made the same decision, if I had have the liquid cash available at the time. So I basically blame you from stealing this name from me and intentionally driving the price of the name up!;)

But anyway I also honor the decision of the owner to keep the price private.

I wish lots of success to your venture!

Thanks for everyones views!

I've entered it into the Greatdomains auction on 17th Jan, so it will be interesting to see who is closest to the final bid.

Wow, good luck John. IMO this is a $500K minimum domain. You have over a billion people (1 in 6 of the world's population) to target. It's almost priceless.

Awesome name. Good luck with the auction!

This one has some killer stats...over 1000 OVT with extension, 60k OVT otherwise. The best name for the entire country after India.com.

I think I know what you must've paid for it (I was in communication with the owner earlier :)). Very solid price; IMO, at the right auction, you can make a great profit on this one.

I actually bought it from the buyer of a silent auction (at that time the owner was the long term owner), as I underbid. So I probably paid more than you expect, but I am happy with the purchase.

Thanks for the info sashas btw.

Last time I checked it was around 1800 overture with ext, but I havent been able to access it for a while.

Regardless of overture, there are very concise stats linked at the GreatDomain listing, along with some other relevant info on indian.com.

You were the seller, right?

nice flip!

I still think it was undersold...

There is a lot of national pride in the current crop of Indian businesses. Selling this domain to them can fetch a million bucks, especially if you can start quoting the 1 million for Chinese.com. I can tell you, most Indian businesses would do anything to not be overtaken by the Chinese.

If you're looking for end users, I'll suggest contacting these two companies:
Tata.com
RIL.com

the Tata group could be especially responsive, especially since they've been focusing increasingly on highly patriotic projects (the Tata Nano car - the world's cheapest car at around $2500, for instance). Perfect name to market to them.
