My brain just isn't in gear today, hence, I don't see the revenue model here.

I do see the traffic model and directory to your network of sites. But as Clara Parker used to say "where's the beef?" (cash?)

Please help me (us all) by explaining.

well for myself im not looking to make money off it but promote kids safe sites thru kids.us,,,but that aside i do belive there will be sponors that will want their products or logos on these sites if this space takes off ,,,im counting on izopod's he he sponor.kids.us to attract them:cheeky:

it will go back to the old model of advertising not click banners but just ads without the click thru,,,,,,,,

ok,, keep in mind the site must be set up on the exact ip addres as sponsor.kids.us they will not review it on a test site and also there can be no email not even one going to [email protected] i had to take out [email protected] i have no idea how in emergency how you get contacted they would have to go to whois or report thru the directory.

I really think the "regulated" sites in time will do well. Revenue will be entirely gotten through partnerships and sponsorships. The beautiful thing about that is the "connections" you make for helping out in a worthwhile cause: Protecting children online.

note: I was doing another "blind" check on a .com version of a name I wanted, and sure enough, another porn site. The US cannot stop people from outside this country from using .com names that are innocent sounding. The only solution, as I see it to really protect kids, is the ".kids.us" namespace.

thats right once parents learn of the safety in any site ending in kids.us thats all they will be allowing thru their computer.....

thanks,,, no counters set up yet but im sure being in the directory is a big boost for traffic and a must if you have a kids.us site .

Looks good! I offer free information about buying swingsets at one of my retail site and will be offering the same free information via my kids.us sites soon.
If it takes off I hope to earn revenue via advertising for retailers who sell their swingsets via brick and mortar businesses like walmart etc. We'll see what happens.
