It doesn't immediately jump out as great name for development, but it certainly has some value. I'd probably concentrate on large specialty ingredient manufacturers (see link below). One of them may like it as an "ego redirect" to their main site.

While it's an interesting term, the singular version is awkward - it's hard to picture e.g. a food manufacturer just advertising something as an "ingredient". I basically agree with the previous poster but at the lower end of his range; low $x,xxx would be my estimate.
Could be a tough sell, maybe if you pitched it as The Secret Ingredient.
Also women might like the domain more than men, a bit like Racers.com the plural is wrong but would still get a lot of attention here as it's a male interest.
