(jForms is used to create forms / contact documents in Joomla sites).

I am trying to install jForms (402 and 395 I think the two versions I have are?) though the install panel in Joomla but it always fails. Chrome gives me a 432 error, IE gives me a page cannot be displayed.

I am pointing the installer to the ZIP file and the CHMOD for the entire directory is 777.

I also tried it at work with no luck.

I also uploaded the ZIP file to the TMP directory on the site and tried to istall from there - same errors.

I with the hotlinking redirect isue previously (and still having - but they can do it for $10 a month!) I'm wondering if my host (Webair) has a lot of restrictions that are preventing me from doing what I need to do?

ANy suggestions on something I might not have tried?

Is the module compatible with the version you are using?

I know you have been working in Joomla, but older modules and plug-ins are not compatible with the newer Joomla install UNLESS you select Legacy.

Yes, I'm using it on another site (but I installed it when I was with the previous host). Both sites are running Joomla 1.5.

your host might have some problems with zip files. You can try to unzip the file to a folder on your local pc and than archive it as a gzip compressed tarball

I thought the same thing but I was able to install a theme that was in ZIP format.

I'm seriously considering switching to Wordpress for this site right now, too.

I'll have to give that a try. If it works then I may stick with Joomla for this project for now. I'm trying WP on a different project so I'll see how it goes.
