Participating in the Sedo .mobithon: $69 dollars

Fast Internet connection to access the crashing servers: $45 dollars

Hot pockets & coffee to fight bidder's shakes: $8 dollars

Finding out you spent $1.3 million on 6 useless .mobi domains, while you could have had Invest.com for $1 million: Priceless

Now Acro, don't get too cocky. Mobi fans are already speculating that Alvaro is going to flip Music.mobi for 5 million in 3 months :asleep: hehe...

According to the contract he has 6 months to develop them.

Who was the buyer for invest.com? Wonder if it was a domain investor or some type of banking/investment company.

it might very well be a domainer. this name can be flipped for a profit at Traffic. 2 million shouldn't be out of reach for this one..

So true.

I agree it was a steal. I think that name should have deserved better exposure (Traffic for example). It could have gone for twice/thrice that amount IMHO.

By the way, Investor.com is owned by Microsoft. They could have easily spent $10 million on Invest.com

What i am amazed at is the creation date of August 1998. Seems like a late reg for this type of name. Wonder if it was dropped or just overlooked til 98?

I simply searched for "invest" .com domains on a list of 80,000 names that were registered in 1995. Then looked up the results for availability. I do that daily :)
