InvisionBoard Installation - Free

Yeah, if you want to open up a message board on site, and your host doesnt have auto-install on the message board scripts, I will install it for you free of charge. I am only experienced in InvisionBoard, so that is all I will install. Also, it is the best free forum software out there.

I am pretty bored most of the time, so I am offering this free.

You just need FTP access, around 5 MB space for the install. And one MySQL database.

So if you are interested, just PM or whatnot.

How much do you know about invision setup?

Could you help me customize the header (sort of like DNF)?

Though I havent done it myself, I think if you would make a header, you can insert it into your HTML Template on your boards. In the AdminCP:

ACP Home -> Template Control Home -> Invision Power Board Template Set -> skin_global -> BoardHeader

I think that should lead you to what you need. If not, look for stuff similiar to that. Then you can insert your own header, or whatever you want.

Lol. Why arent you happy with the one you have?

And.. Im not good at designing it on my own as of yet, but I can install pre-made skins if you want, or tell you how. There are plenty of them.

The board is @ Consoles.net, but its kind of a joke currently.

I just wanted to practice opening a board.

I cant get the category and forum adding to work though

Hmm. It doesnt seem like all the files are uploaded. It just shows up as a folder for me, not a forum index.

Hmm. I see what you did. You uploaded the files into the "Upload" folder. That isnt correct.

I would recommend a fresh install again. Not sure if the database would me messed up from wrong files in wrong folders.

Correct. I see no place where I could insert my own html code to replace the existing header. I see some things that look like they might control that space, but they are confusing.

Yeah, I have no altered my header yet. You may want to go to http://forums.ibplanet.com/ and see if there are some threads to help you with that, and if not, just make a new thread asking. They may help.

So far I have got one person that has been interested.

I set up their forums tonight. Installed a skin. Even fixed a few bugs.
