Unfortunately it's not.
At least the principle is not.Since i have my new computer with XP installed i keep getting spam messages onto my screen like every other hour.You click them away and after 1 or 2 hours you have a new one on your screen - without having opened any browser or email client.Just connected to the internet.I haven't really been able yet to figure out how to stop that.

Here you go beatz...

Windows XP

Click Start->Control Panel
Click Performance and Maintenance (or if not listed, go to next step)
Click Administrative Tools
Double click Services
Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"
Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
Click the STOP button.
Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
Click OK

Thanx RJ - found it, seems to work. :)
So that's one thing .NET is "good" for it seems - spam messages.
Hmm..

I consider this totally useless. Since the ads are not html you can not click on a link to go to a site. This means that the indivudal viewing the ad will need to type in a url or write down a phone number. More than that, if you have any firewall these nethails will not go through. It is also considered spam.
