Is Ebay a Stupid Way to Promote/Market Your Website?

I'm going to be listing one of my ecommerce websites on Ebay fully expecting no offers on the price I'm listing it for but figure the $7 or so on Ebay fees will probably pay for itself in regards to sales/google adsense revenue generated by people who check the site out. Is this a stupid idea? If someone does bid, I'm fine with selling it even at its under priced amount as I can use the money to develop other sites.

If you will sell the site at the starting price then you are OK, but don't set it so low that you would really not want to accept it. Remember that you are obligated to sell if someone goes through the research and bids.

Traffic on eBay is so low now it probably would not be worth the trouble.
