That's the offer I got. I think I should hold onto it. I need the money, but it's a great name. If I sold it I know I'd kick myself in 5 years. What to do?

I didn't take the offer. I think these names will increase in value. If developed this could do really well. Yahoo bought Blo.gs, it was a developed website, but that gets the idea out there to the public. One or two more developed names like this and people will change their minds. Most domain hacks have been bought, which means people out there think they have value or will have value. In 5 or 10 years from now, try to find a good forum domain. It's hard to find one now. Forums.com was created in 1996, what was it worth then, what's it worth now?? Try to buy Forums.com from it's owner and see what kind of price the counter with. I would guess min. XXX,XXX.xx
Domain names are hard to find and only getting harder to find. Foru.ms is not Forums.com but it's the next best thing IMO. I'm sticking to my guns on this one. I will look to develop this name in the near future.

I have had offers on some of my hacked domains that are probably less enticing then this.

I'm not sure which is the nutcase here - the guy/girl/shim who offerd $2k for Foru.ms or the buyer for being so cluleless - either way buyer and seller are losing out in the long run.

I think he had a decent offer, but he is obviously
aware of what happened with blo.gs (a multi-million
dollar sale) and is thinking (rightly, imo) that his name
is similar in many ways and in the same league.

Yes, blo.gs was a developed website, but it was still
built upon this name, so...
