Hello,

I'm sorry, but due to rules enforced by the .TV registry, .TV domains cannot be transferred at all.

I did not know this.

Got the following from the FAQ's of the .tv Corp:-

Does The .tv Corporation support registrar transfers?
Yes. With the exception of .tv domain names, all other domain names ( .org, .name, .biz, and .info) are eligible to be transferred, as long as the status of the domain permits (see below on reasons "losing" registrars can decline transfer requests).

So it looks as though you are right - I personally don't have any .tv names so I have no personal experience of them.

It pretty much makes speculation for resale futile. Unless the .tv owner has only one name in in one account, he could give the account and password to the buyer and the buyer could change the contact info?

Heh just got an answer from Great Domains.

My Question: It is my understanding that .TV names can't be transfered (ownership or registrar) under any circumstances. If this is true, and I'm not 100% sure if it is, how can you offer .TV names for sale on your website?

Thanks

Great Domains answer:

Thank you for contacting Great Domains.

.TV Domains cannot be transferred from registrar to registrar but the
name can be transferred between registrants that have signed on for
accounts with the .TV Corporation. That is called a third-party
transfer.

We hope this information has been helpful in resolving this situation.

Yes, .tv can be transferred from a to b in the same registrar as I know of.
My friend have sold .tv names using www.tv, and it is easy to do so.
