or are pool now doing .EDU pending names?

my email has been playing up, so not got one from them to say they are, so excuse my ignorance... if they have sent one.

night

You cant reg a .edu domain..

I doubt it..

.edu is open to educational institutions only and you'll have to file lot's of paperwork to get an .edu domain.

Yep, you'll need to be accredited. I have been trying to get some for a long time now.

just like .ac.uk

not intrested in them, was just curious...

sex.edu?

NW is doing them as well. I came across one last week and placed a bid, just out of curiosity but no grab.

some .edu domains are not educational purpose site. :D

Couldn't you run HomeSchool.edu or HomeSchooling.edu without a secondary educational status?

No, .edu domains you must be an accredited post-secondary institution to get. I can think of at least one person who fraudulently applied for and got one -- they then bragged about it somewhere they shouldn't have (lots of technical people around), someone reported them, and the lost the domain... oops.

If Pool gets the pending delete list from VeriSign, then it will include edu domains. Pool must not be removing edu domains from the list.
