I thought the same thing when I saw Mole's original posting.

But, I didn't want to throw gasoline on the fire.

I bet by October, we will see a "nicer - kinder" Pool.

Whenever I need a good laugh I always refer myself to pool

"What is a Sealed Bid Auction and how does it work?

A Sealed Bid Auction is the first phase of Pool.com's auction system. If we secure a domain you backordered, you will be entered in Phase 1 of our auction system. You will have 3 days to enter your Sealed Bid. The first person that backordered the domain will have a default Sealed Bid of $60 US. Your Sealed Bid is the amount you are ready to pay for the domain. When the Sealed Bid Auction closes, if you are one of the top bidders, you will advance to the second phase of the auction process: the Challenger Auction."

Do I have a choice?

This Snapnames and Enom Club Drop is pretty much sleeping on the job.

They will be around as long as they keep catching "good", "unique", names. As far as I know very domain name is 100% unique so they really only have to concentrate on the "good" part.

I just hope their success rate continues to drop and the market share goes to eNom or Snap.

Does that mean if you are willing to pay say $500 (if there is competition) but in the past if no one else wanted the name you could have got it for $60 but because of your $500 sealed bid you will pay $500 even if no other bids?

Yes.

Biggest money spinner everrrrrr.

I think everybody should go with $60 sealed bids and render the 2 phase nonesense useless.
