Thanks for the input. Type-ins are more than 2-3 per day! Although I had this site for a while there are over 100 resumes there now with absolutely no advertising. However I have no interest in registering nor keeping these sites for the sake of type-ins as these domains should be more valuable than what may seem on surface. Its not possible to find such short, generic and high demand keyworded subdomains in uk.com, us.com or au.com as almost all of them are taken up (not sure whether they are used as thats another story). To be honest I have myself done some appraisals for others for TLDs so I have some insight in domain name appraisals. I have researched subdomains for months but did not come up with firm criteria for appraising such subdomains. I am aware of some uk.com subdomains that sold for high xx - low xxx. However common dictionary words would be of no value to me as subdomains, but keywords such as 'jobs' and 'travels' (I have posted this in another Appraisal request) are of a different nature. I would prefer to value such subdomains based on its intrinsic and brandable value than any other criteria. For example, imagine an aussie user who sees 2 links in a directory or Google sponsored ads results, one being jobs.au.com and the other being jobsdirectory.com (the chances are that the jobs.au.com would be selected ahead.). In such cases if the domain jobsdirectory.com (I have no connection with this domain, just an example here) is appraised higher it is simply because its a .com. But you can see how in the minds of the users what may seem valuable. These are my thoughts and anyone is free to experess their own way of appraising subdomains. The main drawback as far as marketing such subdomains are concerned is the weakness in reaching Pagerank and SEO, as there is common agreement that they rank poorly compared to generic TLDs. I would be glad to get more feedback.
Thanks
