For $800k I'm selling off Acroplex right now. And I will even pose for pictures with a plumber's crack :D LOL

Seriously, if they had that kind of an offer, they apparently were taken aback and didn't know how to react. In the hours and days that followed, the Joe Bubble burst.

It not so black & white.... When it's the name of your Business, the Business you worked your tail off building, it's not so easy to give that name up.

Right, but if 800k does not move you to act and get a different domain name (don't need to abandon the brand)...you can always lease and keep your name. What he needed was a domain advisor.

Hell he may have been able to get plumbers.com for that $800k or less

Agreed but what is the total value of the Amarillo company? I suspect that they would be WAY ahead to sell the name and use the .NET plus who knows if the $800K is real?

BTW - 'Joe' of Amarillo isn't exactly brain dead. Their site has had a complete makeover and is loaded with external links (although some may refer to their competitors!) and 'Joe The Plumber' logo stuff. Their logo was already quite good for the purpose. How many plumbing companies use a cartoon plumber with his crack showing!

All good points... Personally, I would of taken it in a heartbeat.

Can anyone confirm if the 800K offer was really made?

Is there anyone who will register

Joethedomainer.com etc...?
