So I own Jospeh .com. It's a legitimate first name domain and not a typo of Joseph.

Most major extensions are registered and the .net is listed on Godaddy as premium domain for $2788

Since the rule of thumb is .com = 14 x the net

$2700 x 14 = $37,800 right?

Well I don't think this domain is wroth that much nor do I think the .net is $2788, I'd like your opinion on what you think this domain is really worth.

Thanks,

Sorry, I don't see much value here, as the vast majority of Google hits appear to be typos of "Joseph". It can be used as a typo-catcher for "Joseph" or as a site for someone whose name is actually Jospeh.

Perhaps high $xx or low $xxx to a reseller who has a use for those typos or hopes to find someone with that name. If you find an end-user named Jospeh, maybe high $xxx, but I don't know how likely that is.

From BabyNamer.com:

"Popularity: The name Jospeh ranked 1159th in popularity for males of all ages in a sample of the 1990 US Census.

Though this name appears on the 1990 U.S. Census lists, it is used by only a small percentage of the general population.

It is very likely that this name appears in the data as a consistent misspelling of Joseph."

Good luck!

randomo, thanks,

I agree with you for the most part. You probably know this already but to see actual result for the domain you would have to put the word in quotation marks.

I noticed the 1159 ranking also, but note that the name is used as surname also. Again the frequency is not great but it does add a little to it.

Definitely not a $xx,xxx name :)

I agree with Randomo...IMO this is a miss-spell of Joseph - as a surname and as a first name....and a common miss-spell at that.

Actually look at the google results and it is pretty telling....none appear to really use that awkward spelled name as far as I could tell. IMO - this is worth low xx to everyone unless you own Joseph.com and then you would want this to protect your correctly spelled domain.

Onward, Randomo did not say this was a typo he said the SE's return it as typo.

type it into google with quotation marks and you will find plenty of people who have the name.

Crazy I just went to google and did this and the THIS Thread is already indexed as the 7th listing. Yikes

Even using quotation marks, you largely get Google results that are clear misspellings of Joseph.

Obvious examples:
Franz Jospeh Glacier
Jospeh Biden
St Jospeh Memorial Hospital
Mary and Jospeh cartoons

A couple more random examples I checked (and confirmed that they should be Joseph):
Jospeh L Gedges Memorial Scholarship
Jospeh Kordish

So there may really be nobody, or almost nobody, with the name Jospeh. Sorry!

if this does not make it a legit name then I'm not sure what does

http://www.zazzle.com/jospeh+t+gifts

typo gifts?

Yes...This is a typo...I can do this on cafe press in 3 minutes...

If you look at the results of the incorrect spelling of the name...and then type the correct spelling of the name...you will find that the correct version of the name is actually in the same search report.

ok ok, i'm not going argue about this anymore.

So we determined that the domain is definitely not worth a lot of money. :)

Seems like some people will keep asking the same question over and over until they get the answer they want to hear.

Same in my business.

I want a second opinion.

I was a third, a forth, a fifth, a sixth...

finally, I found someone who will do the operation because he said I had a 2% chance of surviving it.

Quick question...do you get any traffic looking for remanufactured transmissions? If so...It may have value to the owner of the more popular spelling of the name.
