Just had 700-800 PM's disappear from my inbox, please help

I just was in my inbox and it was full and all of the sudden half of my old PM's disappeared when I refreshed the inbox...please advise

And why was something so drastic not emailed to us all. I haven't been here as often lately and I come back now to find that all of my PM's since 2004 are gone....

I assume you guys make regular backups of the database. Can you set up a temporary subfolder forum running on an older db backup so those of us who missed the memo can get our messages?

I find this very annoying that you guys would do something like this..

What good is the increased PM capacity for those of us who pay if one day they are all just wiped out... Please advise..

Was there an email notification as well? I missed that post completely and now all of a sudden I discover I lost the biggest part of my private conversations :upset:

Same here. I luckily decided to one day read the feedback forum or wherever that thread was the day prior to the supposed deletion and backed them up but I still have 739 pms.

I don't have any idea what you are talking about tbh with you if you meant unanswered Pm's to me. (if you did'nt then...ohh well.) Since you brought it up. Are'nt you glad I asked Giant Domains to kindly remove the negative feedback I left you not long ago? That way it's our little secret. :cheesy:

It is ridiculoud that our PM's were deleted...could be some pretty important stuff and I think we should have more security in their preservation...I'm sure there is some way to recover this info, even if just for a short period of accessibility...

As others mentioned, I think they should of sent a PM notice to all members, I'm sorry to hear you didnt download your PM's before they were removed, 800 is quite a lot!, If your able to retreive it through backups, let us know....I wish you success.
