keyword bid and volume?

What's the quickest/ cheapest/ easiest way to find out the approximate PPC bid and search volume for a particular keyword?

How to extrapolate the search volume to estimate the search volume in ALL search engines? I am less concerned with this, but it would be helpful if anyone has a methodology.

The Google external keyword tool shows avg CPC and a very rough estimate of search volume.

Just search for any keyword you wish, and in order to see the CPC after you have submitted the keyword, find the drop-down menu next to "Choose columns to display:" , and select "Show Estimated Avg CPC"
