I got only 4 names of this TLD and surely I'll not take anything else in the future, just to play my chance on it:

I believe .kids.us will be a BIG flop. Folks in the US can't get beyond .com.

So... unfortunately, it's worthless.

p.s my apologies for not posting an appraisal for your domain, DE... My guess is only time will tell with kids.us. I can't believe Neustar allowed Sex.kids.us to be reg'd. My guess is they probably want this tld to go away. They fought it pretty hard in congress as it will be a miracle to police this space in time. The net is too big for this little fish. I realize ONLY links to other kids.us domains can be used, and ONLY certain technologies, but it is nothing for creative people to get around this....blah!

Also will google filter out searches ONLY for kids.us sites??? Type-in's will be few and far between. My guess is they will try, as their will be web masters that will try to get "enticing" sites as close to kids.us as possible in site listings on SE's.

Speculation is the fuel that drives domains..

Kids arent registering these names ...corporations are/will be..corporations with profits in mind .. do you wish corporations wouldnt try and profit off the kids market ?

The only thing I care about is that scum are stopped at the Kids.Us doorstep.. the pediphiles, the pornmasters. the spammers etc..that is what the namespace is all about..giving the kids a relatively safe space to surf..but if people cant mkae a living/profit off it's development and operations..then it would never happen

I hear you bid, but some "investments" just aren't worth it. This is one of them. However everyone has to determine what is going to big, and what is not. To that end, I say good luck to anyone who purchased a Kids.us name. I personally don't find this space lucrative from a "developers" point of view.

btw: Schools block certain sites children have access to on the internet at school. If the site has "sex" in the domain name it's automatically blocked... So much for Sex Ed 101 for your 10 year old at school!! haha...

That's not what I suggested. I said schools automatically block domain names with the word "sex" in them. Therefore, Sex.kids.us would probably be blocked even though it might have "Sex Ed" stuff on there.
