Don't you have to be a Canadian citizen to buy .ca?
If so, seriously holds back the extension imo, even though it is doing well

yes, there are rules about having a 'Canadian presence'. If you're determined there are ways to comply with it. But don't .us and .co.uk have some restrictions too?

I looked into .fr and they have restrictions too.

I think you can reg .us, but technically you have to have US residence, etc. They don't seem to enforce it, but if they ever did you could lose all your names, so not worth the hassle unless you meet the requirements. Some foreigners have lost their .ca names this way.

Each year, there is supposed to be a verification process. I forget what it is called. Been getting the emails almost daily.

Yes, I verify blah, blah, blah...go away!

Actually, if i were a .ca investor or lived there, this snippet of info would really interest me.
I was just doing some research on L-L-L.com & searching, i found:

www.M-X.CA    (The Montreal Stock Exchange, no less)

wow, not even a redirect. I've bought some L-L.ca, only a matter of time before someone takes them out. The remaining NNN.ca and LLL.ca were all taken out by single investors in the last year (LLL just this month). Next would be N-N and L-L. The L-L make good vanity domains for a persons initials.

so it was you! did you buy after reading this post?

less than 300 L-L available, less than 20 with 'premium' letters.

check out some more developed sites.

www.G-P-S.ca (corrected, had 'gst' before)

www.M-A.ca

L-L are gone in all top extensions, even many in .cc .tv .ws and so on. Regging L-L.ca is like buying money right now.

Still some left that have meaning, or good acronyms. Let the countdown begin.

There were many good ones, and had bought some up, so no problem in spreading the word a bit. Was wondering what others thought. I'd been looking at 'f-u' too.

When you see L-L gone in all the other main extensions, it tells me that this is an overlooked segment of .ca so far, probably soon to change. And been seeing many .ca's in advertising using a 'dash' lately.

Drove between Kelowna and Penticton this weekend, can't believe all the billboards and signs with .com's and .ca's. A year or two ago hardly saw any .ca's on the road. Everyone is using URL's now, from businesses to people running for office. When politicians campaign in Canada a .com doesn't look right, you wonder 'why don't they use the .ca?".

Should be interesting to see if L-L.ca gets taken out.

newly regged.

B-L (business loan)
F-P (financial planning)
Q-A (quality assurance)
C-A-T
D-O-G
D-A-D
D-I-Y (do it yourself)

so many nice three letter words/acronyms available in .ca; with many taken in .com, .net, .org, etc.

some L-L with second letters H (homes), F (finance) and M (media, marketing, mortgage) available.
