I got this name a few days ago by chance. I thought long and hard about real estate agents and brokers that usually are in the field. Their buyers are also away from a pc. When they both meet, they can check the value of certain properties.
All of the extensions are gone. There is even an American site at:
http://www.landvalue.gov.com/

It is such a boring name. Any boring appraisal, boringly appreciated.

Its funny how you write such information when you have no evidence no research in this domain.

Are you living in an advanced country?!
Why dont you explain to us why we are wasting our money. If you cant supply any productive information here, just read our threads and learn about the new technology and new mobile companies that are starting up. Do you need information about .mobi and the NEW technology? Ask me anything and i will teach you.

Thank you 3dGEEK! I couldnt believe that no one got it. Even the Japanese .jp took it! I just gotta hit the books on real estate and stuff. I have already developed a few of my .mobi sites for Japan and making about $20/3 weeks and by next March, I would pay off my purchases! I am sure someone would want to know the value of property while they are in the field... Just gotta develop it.

Listen my young newbie friend..you claim to have worked in the mobile phone industry for a while, and thats the first problem, because the phone and domain field are not the same.. you have no idea whats going on in the domain field..if I make a comment about domains being regfee or very little in a domain appraisal thread because you dont like critique thats too bad, dont ask for opinions then...I think its unfair to newbies to make them reg domains that will probably never have any real value after the hype is over..the thing you dont understand is that there is a big difference between the big success and advancement of the mobile phone industry and the types of domains being used for them...

The only way for this to truly succeed is for .mobi domain owners to develop and publish their sites. Grandted, some names will have instant value, and they've either been purchased already or they're on the premium list. I've stopped regging .mobis and have begun concentrating on developing. I suggest the other supporters do the same.

Just because I am a newbie at DNF, doesnt mean I dont understand about the mobile industry or the potential of .mobi. Me being a newbie at DNF also has no relation to the investment of this domain extension. How do you know about .mobi if its still a new extension!? What does a DNF newbie have to do with the value of the .mobi extension!? I guess things on your side are much different from Asia. Thats cool. I welcome your opinion.
I am not going to argue this point since it seems like a draw. Just let us do what we want to do. As with seanboy, I have stopped regging as well and am developing a few mobi sites (5) at this moment.
Could you do me a favor and give us something more constructive to debate about? that would be educational for me as well as the others.

This domain has many factors working against it. Assuming all .mobi scenarios played out in the best possible way, The weakness would still be that it's clearly intended for a small group of professionals or insiders. When that's the case, you can use any name. There will never be a need for a end user to buy this name. If someone were to develop such a site for Realtors, they could call it something related, the could call it "joeslist.mobi" or they could make up anything "mx35listings.mobi". The branding and advertising to a select group is going to cost the same no matter what name they give the site.

Maybe I should restate my position. It's reasonable to believe someone might pay a couple hundred dollars for this particular name. I think if it went into the thousands, they would be likely to consider cheaper options. So, for appraisal: $XXX
