Nice name! I know the Royal Bank of Canada owned this name up until late last year. I am surprised they would have sold it! ;)

Yes, I too am very surprised you own this name, considering that Royal Bank of Canada was the original registrant, and the administrative email address for the domain ([blah]@sfnb.com) was invalid, since Ult Search acquired the sfnb.com domain name a while back. Also, the domain had always been at Network Solutions, and is now at a different registrar, registered to

MODS is it inappropriate for me or anyone else to inquire further on the ownership or chain of title of this domain, since it is certainly questionable how this domain was acquired?

Since this is a 5-6 digit pricetag I would certainly want to be sure of ownership!
Also since the seller has requested "no PM's" the thread is the only way to ask questions, however all posts should be polite.

He wants PM's, just not ones that are with lowballed prices.

If you are NOT willing to pay more than US$ xxxxx for LEO.COM. please don't PM me{/QUOTE]

therefore he doesn't want any PM, unless its a 6 digit offer....and since I'm not willing to make a 6 digit offer, the only way to ask a question is via this thread.

I did not buy domain from Royal Bank of Canada. Person's name who I bought is Steve Jackson. I can not know Steve Jackson previous owner. However, present owner is me. Because I bought from previous owner.
Possession of domain changes innumerably. It is domain that is trade by money.
I understand yours worry.
It is difficult to trust other person. Rid yours interest if do not trust.

I have a strong feeling that Royal Bank of Canada is going to be receiving a LOT of phone calls tomorrow. ;)

Hi Edward

Cracking 3 letter you have there - It will be interesting to see what the outcome is on this one.

I'd be asking the same questions for sure though.

Good Luck to both the buyer & the seller.

If a drop was a great one. Always find it amazing how Koreans and Chinese are so excellent at grabbing names vs all the other nations relatively speaking. How do they do it?

Maybe Edward J could explain how!

Theo is right, drops from NetSol to their partners do not change creation date, however,
check out the WHOIS history from 1/22/2004 (when it is in the name of Royal Bank of Canada):

Domain: leo.com
Cache Date: 2004-01-22
Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
Registrant:
Royal Bank of Canada (LEO37-DOM)
3475 Piedmont Road, Suite 300
Atlanta, GA 30305
US

Domain Name: LEO.COM

Administrative Contact, Technical Contact:
admin, DNS (TKY48) Email protected from Robots by Whois Source
Security First Network Bank
3475 PIEDMONT RD NE
ATLANTA, GA 30305-2954
US
404 495 6400 fax: 404 495 6590

Record expires on 10-Mar-2005.
Record created on 18-Mar-1997.

Domain servers in listed order:

PRODFESVC.OPENBANK.COM 208.233.79.130
WINGNUT.S1.COM 139.131.100.38

So, it doesn't seem it would have dropped prior to now, as it wouldn't have expired until a few months down the road.

However, NSI does some funky stuff with extending the expiration dates, while the domains remain in "expired" status to the user; probably for the sake of their drop catching system, so that they keep the names internal before they go into public registry delete phases.

So.. Who knows.
