closed List of domains for appraisal pls

Seeing as my other topics hardly get a post I thought I'd stick them all in together

www.5-cent.com - Typo of 50cent.com, bought on auction on this site for $7
www.1to1solutions.com - Bought for $5 on auction, business domain.
www.mumsforum.com - Forum for Mums obviously, I will develop this.
www.soldiersblog.com - Name says it all
www.pokercapital.net - .com is a big poker site.
www.annakournikova.ws - One of most searched people on net I would think, very popular pin up, obviously extension will devalue it, and obviously the .com fanboys will too
www.davidbeckham.ws - Same as Anna Kournikovas description, one of the most famous footballers in the world and most photographed, always in the news.

Anyway I also bought today for $4 www.wildgirlsoncampus.com which I think has good development potential.

davidbeckham.ws and annakournikova.ws are excellent domains, only the extension lets it down but .ws is hardly a unknown extension either and is growing more popular all the time and they are two of the best ones you could get, more then good enough.

Pokercapital is also a very good poker domain, might be .net but thats hardly a bad extension either unles you're a .com fanboy.

Soldiersblog is a excellent blog domain for a soldier.

1to1solutions is a very good business domain and 5-cent.com I reckon will get quite few type ins, but we'll see.

mumsforum.com definetly needs developing which I plan to do but a few of them are more then good enough.

I know none of them are worth overly much but I know a few of them are good enough to get a little bit.

Yes I know, I wasn't having a go I just disagree with you and was trying to explain the reasoning why I disagree instead of just saying something like 'you're wrong' or such like.

Personally I think anna kournikova and david beckham are excellent domain names for any known extension.

Ross1982, i think you have some nice names out there. IMHO, here are the appraisals:

mumsforum.com - I really like the name. Low $xxx undeveloped, but surely I would develop it into a huge mums forum. They have many many things to talk about LOL.

soldierblog.com - Although it a very nice name, but active soliders are not allowed to discuss their work life or missions. Since blogging is sharing your diary with public, soliders may not be the best target audience you have. However, if developed into a nice blogging site, I would say it will worth from $x-$xx,xxx (depending on the number of your quality bloggers)


pokercapital.net - Nice name, there is a good market for casino-related domains these days, if you get an offer above $100, take it.

annakournikova.ws and davidbeckham.ws - You may find it strange to know that people names are TRADEMARKS. Latest case about this issue was about the famous actor Hugh Jackman who someone called Peter Sun registered <hughjackman.com>, <hughjackman.net> and <hughjackman.org>. The decision said:

"As a result of Mr. Jackman’s fame, the name Hugh Jackman has become internationally recognized and famous and serves as Mr. Jackman’s trademark to identify his performance and entertainment services"

So you see, you can't really count on keeping these names forever.

I know I took a risk with the trademark names, but I've been told David Beckham doesn't seem to care about his name on domains, always a risk but one worth taking.
