for why not promote your name mmmm

check signature for three in extended....

good luck!

I'd rather not (disclose and promote my auction names which I'm selling) I will post after the auction.

why not promote your name?

Precisely to each his own but it's like having an open house and telling your neighbors they aren't invited! The next 5 days should be used for promoting the hell out of your names, send emails, press releases, contact advertisers who may be bidding on similar keywords, run your own keyword campaign bringing attention to the auction, anything else you can think of to promote yourself. You need to stand out if you want your horse to show. But I suppose some are superstitious or bashful tis what makes the world go round.

Good Luck to all

I got 3 in the live auction. not sure why they make the reserves pubic?
I dont see many reserves that are to high so most of them may sell.

i to will not reveal domains names. wish everyone the best in either selling their domain or buying a good deal.

not sure why they make the reserves pubic?

I love snap names but I think the reserves should have been hidden since associating a price with a domain may cause people to assess a predetermined value on a name which is something an auction seller never wants. Look at eBay, the online auction leader, they never disclose reserve prices. I can see putting a range but listing the reserve? At the same time a low reserve can spark a lot of interest which may result in a bidding war.

Goodluck Batman, and everyone else who has a name in auction. :)

when is this taking place and where can we follow along?

thanks,

I have one domain accepted for Live Auction and two for Extended Auction.

when is this taking place and where can we follow along?

First Live Auction: Jan 22, 2008 4-7pm PST
Second Live Auction: Jan 23, 2008 4-7pm PST
Extended Auction: Jan 24 - Jan 31, 2007

Hollywood, CA in person @ Domainfest and LIVE through out the world. It's the first live domain auction that will allow simultaneous online and in person bidding and I suspect it will be HUGE!!

Live Auction & Extended Auction

I have one name accepted for Live Auction, I'm excited to see what happens.... maybe I'll be the next Man in line for a Big Smile... turn a $15 investment into 6 figure profit!

My other two domains are listed in the Extended Auction.

Anyone else accepted into Live Auction!?!

Yes, I have 2 names in Live and 2 in Extended. :-)

I have 1 accepted for live and am very excited to see what happens.
I also dont like the reserves being made public, if the case is that all reserves are shown as minimum bids.

I auctioned a painting off in December and the starting bid was way below my reserve and ended up exceeding my expectations by more than 40%. The auctioneer was very confident of meeting the reserve and explained that starting out lower would get more people into the bidding to start and was more likely to reach a higher figure.

i got my dot info in live but just yesterday it got moved to extended
only one dot info made it to the live after yesterday,

Despite the fact my domain is out of live i m confident that Snapnames will make some huge sales for live.

and to be honest... from the experience I've had on this forum. I don't want to post my domain, and next thing you know.. Some decide to debate the reserve, pricing, etc... bad publicity

I agree it can be difficult to post a really great domain here knowing that the thread might get trashed. I hope they sell dude dot com and face dot com, these two are really cool (not my names, all mine rejected!). Good luck in the auction. Which auctioneer are they using?

Ive never sold a domain in live auction, it says the minimum bid is $7500, thats also the reserve of the domain. How does that work, the first bid is my reserve? Meaning I have a good chance of making more then $7500?
It means they will offer it out at that price, if no one bites they skip it and will probably submit it to silent though I'm not 100% sure. TRAFFIC normally sends all passed live names to silent or what everyone is now calling extended

Anyone have a link to the live auction ?
